WHAT ARE “TRAFFIC SAFETY” ROUNDTABLES?

 Traffic Safety Roundtables bring together leaders from government, advocacy groups, and other concerned stakeholders to identify local traffic safety issues and develop strategies to reduce risky driving behaviors and improve safety among vulnerable road users (e.g. pedestrians, bicyclists). These Roundtables focus on underserved communities with the goal of establishing and strengthening partnerships and improving traffic safety for those who live, work, and visit there.

 

SCPAHS will use Roundtable outcomes to target its traffic safety education efforts, coordinate activities, and establish new community partnerships within Steelton and Highspire. If necessary, SCPAHS will act as a liaison with appropriate stakeholders to advance proposed solutions beyond their resources.

 

This Roundtable is being held in partnership with PennDOT and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration with cooperation with PennDOT. Representatives from PennDOT and other regional stakeholders will be attending this event.
